It is no secret that Walsh is one of very favorite authors. I love her characters, settings, and storylines so much.
With What Matters Most we return to Nantucket and you can almost smell the ocean and see the beach.
I felt like the backstory was woven perfectly into this book. The past for both characters is full of difficulty and grief and gives them a great depth and room for growth.
The romantic chemistry in this book is perfect for the story. Plenty of great kissing, flirting, and attraction.
I really loved Emma. She's been through a lot and is finally getting her feet under her again. I love her independence and how strong she is. Jamie is wonderful as well. I loved everything about him - but especially his smirks.
This book will keep you turning the pages to discover what secrets the past holds and how life will move on. I love how everything intersects in this book. This is a story I won't soon forget and would definitely read again.
I received an advanced copy of this book through the publisher. This is my honest review.
Moderate: Death, Grief, and War
