I read and reviewed this for a Patreon exclusive. Somewhere between this and The Last Beginning, there is the beginning of this story. Unfortunately, it makes the prequel and this book feel meandering and strange. Nottingham also has a tendency toward repetition, and it really hampered my enjoyment. This book needed an actual edit.
