Goethe  works with the inner conflict of Iphigenie. Her soul seems driven appart , by her sense of obligations and lust. She has to decide between those two sides. This tragic being of a character is just beautiful.  Personally I find these morally accused conflicts very relatebale and relevant.
I also like the lowlky feminist take of Goethe. But it still has misogynistic tones .
So overall this is a very important book
