okay i was definitely iffy on this one but it ended up being really enjoyable! the writing is so beautiful but definitely a little slower and while i loved the messages of revolution it felt somewhat preachy and misplaced at some points. (the author acknowledges this at the end and gives important context which i did appreciate tho!) and all the things that frustrated me in the beginning ironed themselves (lol) out with a really strong ending. the first book is one of my favorites so this one wasn’t quite going to live up to it but it did it justice and i am looking forward to the next one!! ESPECIALLLY CAUSE OF THE GODDAMN CLIFFHANGERS AT THE END
