This is executed strangely. It is Christopher's diary, but we are experiencing it through the eyes of a new character, Kristin. I find myself a little impatient going back and forth. I almost feel this should have just been the journal without the new story starting. But I like the main character, and not just because we share the name. It is as good as the original series. All these books are essentially the same, anyway.
