The Great Canadian Novel: A Novel by Harry J. Boyle

Did not finish book. Stopped at 15%.
I found this hardcover in a cool little used bookshop I visit on occasion up in cottage country and, as a Canadian, how could I resist a book with a title like this one?

Turns out, all I have to do is read fifty pages or so, then the book becomes really easy to resist. The writing is incredibly vague, I couldn't work out any sort of a plot and it was just...dull. It's definitely a Canadian novel, but it's not a great one.
