I LOVED this book. Even though it's a dark romance, and has a list of content warnings at the beginning, the overall feel of the story is light, not dark. That's in part due to the funny moments in the book, but also because the violence and darkness feels contained to specific situations* and doesn't take over the characters' lives. Most of all, the main characters come into the relationship in a equal position, and there's nothing toxic in their relationship. Honestly, everything about their relationship worked for me, the banter, the dynamic as the relationship evolved, the feelings, the spice.. 10/10 can't wait for the sequel

*As a warning, in those specific violent situations, the scenes are very descriptive and lean into gore.
