- Poor Feyre was SO miserable at the beginning and Tamlin did not seem to care at all? I’m so glad Rhysand saved her from her own wedding day and clearly cared about her education, her hobbies and her well being.
- The second Mor appeared I knew I was going to love her.
- We had Rhysand for a couple of chapter and that was enough to see how he is way better than Tamlin. Rhysand told her the truth about the war and didn’t hide things from her, he cared about teaching her how to read, he cared about her being able to shield her mind, he wanted to help her control her new powers. Tamlin? He just wanted a wife to fuck, didn’t noticed or care about her waking up every night with nightmares, didn’t care about helping her at all with anything or including her in the plans of the Court she was supposed to be the Lady of. Just these things already made me hate him so fast.
- Just with the mention of the names Azriel and Cassian I got so excited, I did not know anything about them but I was excited to meet them.
- I was begging Feyre to realize that she doesn’t need Tamlin, she didn’t need anyone pretending to be her protector because she is powerful already. She is a High Fae with super strength and super speed and possibly SEVEN different powers! I needed her to leave this asshole so bad.
- Anyways, in Part 2 I was SO excited to finally meet Velaris and I was loving the idea of more time with Rhysand and meeting everyone else!
- I’m not sure how to describe the way Part 2 made me feel, I was so happy and at peace because Rhysand was so good, his Inner Circle are nice and Feyre was getting better. Now that I’m reading my old annotations of the book (and laughing so much at some of them) I think I would describe it like a feeling of freedom and calmness and idk that feeling I get when I’m swimming in the ocean or just floating there without a worry in the world, yes, something like that, which is so crazy.
- Rhysand taught her things, he showed her his secret city, he let her decide on her own what to do and if she wants to help or not, he was not choosing for her, he shared his thoughts and his world and his people. He let her be herself, whoever that is, to FIND herself. He didn’t overwhelm her, he didn’t force her, HE DIDN’T SUCK THE LIFE OUT OF HER, he didn’t imprison her. Oh SO many things Rhysand was doing better than Tamlin and I started to love him for that.
- I was so happy for this new family and dynamic with Rhysand and his Inner Circle but at the same time I was so sad because ACOTAR felt like I waste now because it didn't have THEM. Ugh, THIS should've been like 5 books too, not just a trilogy. I wish we had way more books with Rhysand and Feyre as mains with Mor, Amren, Cassian and Azriel by their side. I wasn’t even 30% into this book and I already knew I wasn’t going to have enough of them.
- The moment she realizes he is her mate I think I lost it omg I’m not used to reading faerie books so I forgot about that part but it becomes such an important thing to the story.
- So many things were happening to prepare them for the war, I was just enjoying it all. I just LOVED learning so many things about this world.
- I have to admit I think people make a big deal / scandal about the sex in these books but I actually think they’re either exaggerating or haven’t read much lol
- Once they’re finally together I was just so happy for them, they deserve that happiness, they deserve to be loved like that and they deserve each other.
- Now that ending? What happened to her sisters and how all of them fought for them and were so badly injured, I WAS SCREAMING for all of them, I just needed them to be okay.
- This book was just SOOOOO fucking great how could I give it anything less than 5 ⭐
