Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates

5.0

This novel is almost un-rateable. It’s an obvious 5*. The fact it’s written from father to son makes it gut-wrenching because to this day, parents are still afraid for the survival of their children in such a highly racialised society.

This book should be studied in schools. It would make a huge difference. I would have learnt much more about race relations and racism overall than books (mostly by white authors) that I studied at school.

A definite must read.
