This is the first book I've read by Sally, and I can absolutely say it will not be the last. You jump back and forward between events in 1982 and 2022, where you get multiple POV, which flowed really nicely and didn't leave you dangling on cliffhangers for numerous chapters. I liked how every single person in this resort is intertwined in some way and are all suspects. It's very rare that im unable to work out who done it but this had me guessing until the big reveal. However, it is worth noting that there is a dark, creepy element to the plot, which at times was an uncomfortable read, but for me that only added to the suspense, where to others it could be a trigger, so I'd advice content warnings to be checked beforehand if your sensitive to certain topics.
Moderate: Child abuse, Death, Misogyny, Sexism, Sexual assault, Stalking, Murder, and Sexual harassment
