Silver Wings Golden Games by Evie Marceau

Excuse me, ma’am, but I’m going to need book three ASAP after *THAT* ending!

Where do I even start…this book was freaking fantastic. First off, Wolf & Sabine are my everything. I will fight anyone who tries to break them apart…so I guess I’ll be fighting a lot of people…

I loved book one and wasn’t sure how much interaction we’d get between Wolf and Sabine after the ending of that book, but I thoroughly enjoyed all of their scenes in book two. Do I wish they had more? Of course, who wouldn’t?

I found book two well balanced in terms of moving the overall plot along without ignoring the love story aspect (which some books are just not great at doing). I really enjoyed Sabine’s friendship with Brigit & Ferra and that Girl’s Night at the tavern…well, let’s just say, that show gives Magic Mike a run for its money.

I still hate Rían in this book even though he doesn’t really deserve it. Well, maybe hate is too strong of a word. He’s a total cockblocker though and that pisses me off. Part of me does feel really bad for him and by the end I don’t hate him, but I definitely don’t trust him. My true hatred has migrated to that red headed bitty…well, I won’t ruin anything for you guys.

Some crazy stuff goes down in this book that I did NOT see coming. I thought the story was going in one direction but then it went in a totally different direction and was impaled by a murder unicorn…and then just when you think things are working out…nope.

This book was amazing. I purposely read it slowly so I could savor it instead of flying through it like I normally would. I’m so excited to see where Evie takes these characters next because I really don’t know what she plans to do with them. I had theories and guesses for this book and they didn’t happen. I love when books actually surprise me and keep me on my toes. Bravo Evie! This has definitely been one of my favorite reads of 2024!
