“I will know the truth. I always know. Never lie to me.“
If you’re after a thriller that you can read extremely fast, then this one’s for you!
It was entirely bonkers. Did everything make sense in the end? I’d say probably not. However, the twists were insane and I read this so fast, it actually forced me out of an ongoing reading slump I’ve been pretending doesn’t exist for the past weeks. It’s as if this book took it personally that I wasn’t reading as much.
It’s difficult to review a thriller like this one without giving anything away. I would definitely classify this as a thriller that relies a lot on its twists. You know something’s about to be revealed. Although I have to say, the way things connected was quite good. An issue I had, though, was whilst I appreciated the extra ‘twisted’ twists, I thought of the beginning again and it didn’t make much sense. I had to sit with my thoughts for a second after finishing this because I thought I had misread the beginning. 😂
What can I say about the characters now. Well, what an interesting bunch of individuals they are. 😅 Heavily unlikable but then again, I love reading about unhinged rich people and their messy situations.
As a book, Never Lie is certainly fast-paced. If I were to rate it based on plausibility, the rating wouldn’t be as high. However, I was thoroughly entertained and I read this so fast, therefore I’m judging based on vibes. 😂
