Starting this review off saying that this is NOT fantasy. This is historical romance, set in a different world than ours (and it's a well-built world at that, with history and religion, where homophobia, transphobia, and sexism do not seem to be an issue), but there's no magic, no fantastical elements. Just a delightful queer historical romance that doesn't involve the homophobia you'd normally see in the genre.

It's nice! It's refreshing! I love the romance and the two protagonists, I even enjoyed all the wool-industry talk and the corporate espionage plot there.

Overall this was great, and I cannot wait until it's properly published so I can add it to my bookshelf!
