I'm proud of myself. It's not often that I'll give up a book that I'm not enjoying. Normally, I just power through and hate ever minute of it. Not this time! I made it 42 grueling pages (that.. was a coincidence, not intentional) and went "you know what? No."

This is silly, but not the good kind of silly. It's trying too hard to be funny. A lot of it is just "look, I read Hitchhiker's Guide too! Remember this joke? Wink wink nudge nudge lol."

I don't know if it gets better. I suspect not. I don't especially care to find out.
