The Choices We Make by Karma Brown
5.0
I was lucky to receive an ARC of this book from Chapters/Indigo head office.
This book was devastatingly wonderful. It was sweet and hopeful, and heartbreaking and tragic. Karma Brown was able to combine her real life experiences with infertility and surrogacy with the complexities and nuances of friendship, womanhood, and obligation. This book was so hard to put down, the characters were written with honesty and empathy, and were SO SO SO relateable. You saw yourself (& your best friend) in Hannah and Kate, you saw your strengths, your flaws, your dreams, and your biggest fears in them and their relationship. This is the kind of book that makes you want to not just cry - but ugly sob. When you finish it, you want to call your best friend and talk to [them] about it. I loved this book so much, and I highly, highly recommend it.
