I don't know where to start. This is such a wholesome cute read. I could not put it down at the end, and kept smiling throughout. Reading regency romance books to fix the struggles in your relationships? Genius! This proves books truly have all the wisdom and life lessons one might need in life.
From reading the synopsis I thought it would only be from Gavins pov, but you also get to hear Thea's thoughts on their marriage and struggles, as well as snippets of the regency romance the bookclub is reading to help Gavin save his marriage. Thea was so relatable. Right at the beginning she thought: "Her greatest creative accomplishment these days was dyeing her white t-shirts to make the stains seem intentional." I felt that. This is my current mood during lockdown.
Highly recommend if you want a steamy romance and also want to read about fixing a relationship, not just starting one like in most romances.
[reread 2024]
Upon reread I still love it, giggling kicking my feet when reading.
