4.5 for the first 70% of the book, 2 for the last. This book took a nose dive into stupid pretty late in the game. I was really enjoying how rational everyone was being and the amnesia plot. But holy cow did the ridiculousness at the end outweigh any of the former quality.
I can’t get into it without a lot of spoilers but imagine you this, you are watching a great TV show then the final season turns into a soap opera where the writers had 1 day to pump a whole season out and they used chat GPT to help finish it out.
