Fun! A little hard to get into, maybe because I was expecting it to be a bit more challenging than it actually was? Maybe because I didn't care overmuch about the lore which features prominently? In any case, once I got going it was an enjoyable read. Pretty world building, likable characters, and the academia vibes are certainly...there. I don't feel the need to read the next book in the series, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to someone who likes academiacore and faeries.
