This has been a 'pick it up put it down' book to try and get out a reading slump, and it was pretty good. I wanted to read something regency that wasn't Austen or a Mills and Boon, and it delivered.

I did enjoy the journey but I felt it was quite slow and stilted in some parts, the flip-flopping between characters as one set pursues the other was a bit confusing at times - there was an allusion to a real life event but I didn't know what it was and I didn't care enough to Google it.

It was nice to visit some Regency-era Scotland for a change!!
