Rhythm of War by Brandon Sanderson
5.0
Another hit omg idk how mans can make these 1200 pages bricks this epic. I think Rhythm of War has the difficult job of setting up for the final book and introducing us to the magic system more in depth. In my opinion, I was fascinated with everything we learned from lore, surges, and the shards in general. Navani was a surprising standout, I really enjoyed her pov and her journey.
So many good character moments between characters that don’t typically have the spotlight like Venli, Rlain, and Adolin! I love this cast of characters even though those I hate because their motivations and flaws are so real.
I criedfor TEFT and the Tien flashback. Kaladin’s 4th ideal while expected still made me cry. Love him down. Honestly I cried like a bunch of times during this book but also laughed I’m not okay 😭😭
The story also breaks into more war and strategy which I think was the right step for the series overall.
Stormlight Archive is just too good to put into words. From characters arcs to the worldbuilding to how all the pieces of story fit together… *chefs kiss*
