You Too Can Have a Body Like Mine by Alexandra Kleeman

5.0

You Too Can Have a Body Like Mine is perhaps the first novel of satire/social commentary to make me feel physical and emotional distress. The book is expertly drawn and piloted by Alexandra Kleeman, who tears into the heart of the link between body & identity, the smallness & meaninglessness of everyday life, and the selfishness of all human relationships. It’s a thoroughly terrifying read which I found ultimately to be very satisfactory and thought-provoking.
