Meh. The trials in the first book were really interesting to me, and I found this second book to just absolutely drag. Almost DNF’ed at 50%, but stuck through it for a 3 star “okay” read. The pacing was really slow, even with action scenes, and the split POV made the story feel kind of choppy.
