I gotta be honest, when i started this book and realized it was about chaol and not a continuation of the massive cliffhanger that ended empire of storms, i felt exactly like i did when i first started the lost hero (heroes of olympus series) and realized percy wasn’t in it at all.

However, I did end up liking the book and while Chaol definitely annoyed me in previous books, I came to understand his character here.
