So that was…a lot.

A friend lent this to me and encouraged me to read it. I literally just finished and my mind is reeling!

First, dark humor is definitely my friend’s thing so I know she had a blast reading this and laughing. Honestly, there were some parts that did have me laughing - smiling too at least! The Happy Noodle Boy parts were just insanity at its finest.

But someone tell me why this book makes such sense, even though it’s from the perspective of a homicidal maniac? A misguided, traumatized, twisted maniac but a maniac still!

It makes so many excellent points about humanity! It’s raw and dark and crazy violent, but also with snippets of clarity and intelligence. There’s way too many layers in this book to dissect in one sitting. I think I’m going to need to take longer to sort out my brain.

Here’s to hoping I don’t have nightmares about styrofoam doughboys, torture devices, and lost love!
