I couldn't remember this book, even though I marked it read back in May. So I read it again, top notch book. Rose starts out immature and whiny ( which I hate in female characters) and thinking she needs a man or two to make her life complete. As the danger mounts and death brings a pallor to the sheltered life at their school, Rose grows up quickly. She experiences much turmoil and pain in this book, but in the end this will make her a better guardian. Lisa and Rose is the definition of true friendship that can't be broken no matter what.
