Heartstopper Volume 1 by Alice Oseman

5.0

Easily the most wholesome, adorable and moreish thing I've read all year. Endearing characters, amazing representation, and feels the most accurate depiction of both the highs and lows of teen romance, as well as being geniunely British and relatable for a change. So many panels, poses, and looks are all spot on at capturing the feelings and tiny heart breaks, and it brought me so much joy I had to power through the 4 available volumes to date, sending panels to friends consistently as I went. It manages to juggle bringing in genuine issues and advice without ever feeling preachy and feels like it would be an absolute godsend to any teens, queer or otherwise, getting their hands on it. Absolutely beautiful in every single way!
