An intense and gripping read that I picked up on a whim (I needed an SFF novella for a reading challenge). I read it over the course of a couple of very sleepless evenings, exhausted from work but still eager to get to the end of the chapter. Well-written, exceptionally (unreliably) narrated, Tchaikovsky takes us on a journey to, and past, insanity in this thrilling novella.

The twist was a punch in the gut - I didn't expect the book to go there. I have so many questions.
