This book was very plot-driven, and oh, what an amazing story it was! It was so complex and intricate; there was simply no way I wouldn’t end up being completely transfixed and engrossed by all of it!

The world of this series just keeps on growing and seems to have layers upon layers! Everything feels like it makes so much sense, yet still every reveal or new detail has a wondrous and surprising quality to it.

Also, I know I have said it a million times before, but the writing style of this series continues to amaze me. It’s simply gorgeous.

I’m genuinely so sad for this series to have come to an end, but I really think the story got the finale it deserved with this book!
I did wish for a little more development character- and romance-wise, but I understand why that aspect might have needed to take a bit of a backseat to make this brilliant and gorgeous story come to a close in a suitable manner.

Little side note:
I was really hoping that Liraz and Ziri would get together, because both of them, who have sacrificed so much and have never known anything other than loneliness, truly deserved the happiness of love like no other! And, oh my god, I’m so glad they did become a couple, because they were simply adorable together. Liraz has always been like a grumpy, angry black cat, but she became all shy and sweet around Ziri, who, as always, remained like an adorable golden retriever who finally found someone to shower with his affection. It was all extremely endearing and I was so damn happy for them. I really wish we could have seen more of them together!
