A reread, but the ending still surprised me because it's been years since I first read it.

Rory Gilmore was right when she said Tolstoy wrote for the masses. His works are easily digested, even for a Russian (which I often find a bit difficult to read).

Master and Man was short but thought-provoking. It touches on life and death, being rich and poor, and it makes you think about what your choices will be when you're stuck in nature's bad moods and you're all alone in the night.
