I was unfortunately quite dissapointed by this book... There is a lot of science in this book, which the average person does not understand, including me. I did not really pay attention to the science talk. The science talk is very frequent and the science talk passages were large. This was boring to me since I don't understand it. If that is not an issue to you, then you might enjoy these parts. The story is high-stakes, but not really action-packed, which I was disappointed about.

I enjoyed the flashbacks of Ryland. You discover at the same time with him why he is on the Hail Mary.  I did like reading about the relationship between Ryland and Rocky. I also liked how the book ended.
