Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan

4.0

Before I Let Go is the story of a divorced couple called Yasmen and Josiah who are co-parenting their two children. Their marriage fell apart several very distressing events one after another, however it is clear to see that the love remained between these two. It is a second chance romance and the couple have to decide whether to rekindle their relationship or let each other go and move on.
I really liked both the FMC and MMC, especially the character development which they each go through, it is awe-inspiring and Kennedy Ryan really has a talent at writing characters. I also enjoyed the side characters in the story, especially their sassy daughter who definitely has a brilliant character arc too. The plot is incredibly well written and it was hard to put this book down.
I think it is important to note that there are a lot of difficult topics addressed in this book, and I really recommend reading the content warnings for this book before going into it.
I am so glad to see that this will be a 3-book series and that books 2 and 3 will be Soledad's and Hendrix's stories respectively who are Yasmen's closest friends. Now to wait patiently for the sequel!
