I bought this book almost straight after a I saw the movie Hacksaw Ridge starring Andrew Garfield. I’m not the biggest fan of war movies or war books but I will say this, I did enjoy both the book and movie. I thought the narrative that this book took was interesting and made me like it more. I liked this book not just for a war book but just because it was a good book overall.
