I read this book in one sitting while relaxing in my backyard today with my chickens. It was warm and sunny, much welcome after the long winter. If you've ever wanted to sit down one-on-one with a very accomplished author and get the scoop on what it's REALLY like to be a writer, this book is as close to the real thing as you can get. It was like Annie walked into my backyard, pulled up a chair, and talked to me while we watched the chickens graze in the sun.

I inhaled this book. The language is beautiful. The imagery is breathtaking. I will read it again and again when I feel stuck in my writing or wonder why I'm even doing it at all.
