I really enjoyed this book, kind of a mix of the romantasy you’d expect but blended with elements reminiscent of hunger games and the tri-wizard tournament from Goblet of Fire. I love watching the underdog rise above so of course I was rooting for Paedyn the whole way through. Kai is a swoonworthy MMC (my hearts). The book really tugged at my heartstrings, brought out my anger and frustration, and broke my heart all in one. This was a great read! I am looking forward to book 2.
