There was a lot I enjoyed about this book. There was kind of an insta-connection between the protagonists that was pretty captivating. But I was slightly surprised by the nature of the heroine's "secret." It's quite traumatic, and while nothing super explicit is discussed on page, it may be triggering for survivors of sexual abuse. I wasn't anticipating the level and severity of the trauma going in. I thought it was going to be more of a lighthearted book. Parts of this read more like romantic suspense.
