Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

3.0

I'm a little conflicted by this book. While it DID have a lot of action, it did NOT further the story along much. I enjoyed Cinder more, most likely because stuff actually HAPPENED!!

For starters, I think it was kind of a . . . bad move to have, what, 4 POVs? I mean, they were done well, of course, but each time it changed, I was yanked out of the story. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED Scarlet. Probably going to my favorite character out of the series. BUT. With Kai's, Wolf's, Scarlet's, and Cinder's POVs, it just wasn't it for me. There was also so little character development in the story and they were pretty bland (except for Scarlet, 'cause she was a fiery red-head).

On the other hand, I LOVED all of the emotions [a:Marissa Meyer|4684322|Marissa Meyer|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1558121336p2/4684322.jpg] dredged up from me. When
SpoilerScarlet's grandmother died
I was really sad.
