I DNF'd this book at 100 pages.  One character was first person present tense and the other was third person past tense and it was completely jarring.  The book also started with a massive info dump which doesn't always bother my but the lore it was trying to present felt very generic and could have easily just been built into the story.  Overall, every trope I usually loved felt like a punch in the face instead of a comforting take on a classic.
