Rationality: What It Is, Why It Seems Scarce, Why It Matters by Steven Pinker

challenging informative reflective slow-paced

4.0

Some of the science/mathematics is surely over my head, but the discussion of why rationality matters, and the examples and descriptions of how humanity avoids rational discourse, rational analysis and problem-sovling, and rational decision-making, is both enlightening and frightening. This is one of those books that, if every human being would read it and - more importantly - believe it, the world of humans might actually survive.
