The Lady's Guide to Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee
5.0
Felicity Montague wants nothing more than to be taken seriously in her pursuit of becoming a medical doctor but her aspirations are ahead of her time and women simply cannot become doctors. So, when she hears of a possible opportunity to join the expedition of one her idols she wastes no time, dashing away to Stuttgart with the aid of a pirate girl she's just met. In Stuttgart, she reconnects with an old friend who has aspirations almost as lofty as her own. Events quickly get complicated and all three girls find themselves on an epic adventure making their own marks on history, even if the men tell then they can't.
As expected, I loved this book! I really enjoy the writing style. The plot moves quickly without feeling rushed. The characters are unique, memorable, flawed, and realistic. I loved the historically accurate glimpse into history the author provided. I was instantly hooked into the story and enjoyed every single moment of my journey.
