Persepolis Rising by James S.A. Corey

Well. I am stressed out. Things are not GOING WELL.

Clarissa's death was sad but she'd been dogged by her body shutting down on her for so long that, more than anything else, the overwhelming emotion was just relief that she got to be done. I'm glad she got the chance to redeem herself as much as she did and that she got to go down fighting. She was such an interesting character and she got to be interesting all the way to the end.

It was very satisfying that Singh got ganked by the exact thing that put him into the position in the first place. I am massively hoping that Duarte will get his for the exact reason he ordered Singh executed to begin with. Because Santiago also has a wife and a daughter and his daughter's nickname is Monster, just sayin'. The symmetry would be lovely is all.

I'm glad Bobbie and Holden kind of, sort of figured their stuff out. I can understand all of where Bobbie's coming from but to have feelings about who the leadership is/should be when you've held the position for all of five minutes and the scenario has so drastically evolved beyond such petty concerns seems.... well, like a waste of energy in exactly the wrong place. I was kind of irked with her about that because that's so not the concern right now.

Eager to get to the next book and get everyone out of this friggin' mess, that's for sure!
