Layla is starting her internship to become a veterinarian but she needs to find  her ex boyfriend, Kayce, to get his things. He won’t answer her calls or text and she decides to drop off his stuff at an address that is on the way to her internship. Layla finds the place and finds a sexy as heck older cowboy and her ex. The sexy cowboy is her ex’s father, Colt. Kayce doesn’t stay around and emotions between Layla and Colt start simmering. They dance around a bit and soon they started the horizontal tango I needed to sit in an ice immersion bath to keep from combusting. It isn’t all bed of roses because there is an ugly secret that needed to be ironed out. The author did an excellent job keeping this reader glued to the story. It was a beautiful story and I loved it.
