I was hesitant to read this, because I grew up outside of Amish country in PA and was worried this could possibly be disrespectful or just some cobbled together references without a genuine understanding of the culture.

I can definitely say I was wrong! Kiera clearly did some research before writing this book, and although it doesn't shy away from some of the harsher realities of Amish life, it's also respectful towards that way of life.

Not all Amish communities are like this, they vary widely, but overall this felt very well done considering the content. I really loved this and understand now why it's such a classic m/m romance.
