Lerner's writing is downright pretentious at best and extremely ablist at worst. There's no actual writing advice in this, it's just Lerner stereotyping writers in the first half and giving "publishing secrets" in the second half. I didn't get to the second half so I can't comment on that, but ooof boy, I never want to read something by her again. How did people find this book helpful??
