This book is one I don’t think I will ever stop thinking about. Do you love a book that is soul crushing but at same time fulfills all that you love in a good book? This is that book. So much angst and roller coaster of emotions will reading this story of B and Jamie. The timing of their relationship just was never their time. Spanning years between these two their friendship, to dating, to being their for each other. The push and pull of the two, they seem to be perfect for one another but never the right time. I loved the poetry of her writing that flowed like honey and comparisons to whiskey. I really loved how complex both characters were. You can’t help but root for them but at same time want to scream why are you doing this to each other. They felt real and relatable. I really just loved everything about this book. From the first page, first drop of whiskey I was hooked and couldn’t stop reading. It’s beautiful, not your typical love story.
