To Catch a Firefly by Emmy Sanders
3.0
Neurodivergent hero
This was a sweet story about a small town boy and a boy with big dreams, and how they make it work
The book takes us through their life from when they meet for the first time, they were 10yo. Then all the years of friendship and pinning until they get their never-ending.
It had angst because our hero doesn’t talk much, though he has a lot of words. It’s just difficult for him to express what he feels. So they are both making themselves miserable until the truth comes out.
The metaphors sometimes were too much. Like the firefly and the moon. It was sweet but repetitive.
