The Book of Disquiet by Fernando Pessoa

3.0

he says things which are true but it gets repetitive towards the end. perhaps it's not intended to be read cover to cover like i did.

feels like i would identify with this more if i was feeling sad and/or a teenager, but i think i'm mostly past that, or i just have figured out how to deal with it differently than pessoa.

his prose style is top notch and that comes across in the english translation. i'll probably still check out some of his poetry, maybe his composition suits that more.

the last section with named entries is either being completely sardonic or he really thinks women are inferior. a product of his time and situation, sure, but not great.
