Read this upon recommendation of a book lover who still couldn’t get over how much she loved it, even after many other great books had been read since.

This falls into that “New Adult” window that both teens and adults will enjoy, because though the main character is 18, she’s loving a life that gives her responsibilities beyond her years.

Many will relate to weighing their familial responsibilities (stated or assumed) against their own wants and dreams, and going through life with that inner dialogue others may never see.

I appreciated how the two main characters wove into each others lives and showed both the young and mature-beyond-their-years parts of themselves.

The pace and passage of time makes it all even more engrossing and heartfelt. I really, really liked it.
