This is the 2nd book in the Java Jive mystery series....I purchased the 1st book and read that prior to this one so I would know about the characters, setting, main plot, etc. I gave the 1st book 4-4.5 stars. This book, however, just gets 3 stars from me. Even though the story was different and it focused on different characters, I felt it was very much like the 1st book (a murder, Juliet getting involved even though she shouldn't, Ryder giving her a hard time about it, etc). I didn't guess the "bad guy" so that was a good aspect. It was an easy read so if you're headed to the beach this summer, it's a good book to take along.
