I'm older than the Septembers. I was older than them when I first discovered them while in grad school and am older than them with their "reunion", which I somehow just discovered. But I feel as if I'm one of them. They were old friends I'd missed

I like how we learned the truth , Tibby's truth, thorough each of the girls' letters. I like how we grew with them. I like how it took the reader down the women's paths as they found themselves and their way back to the Septembers via Tibby and Bailey. Bee being central to so much of it was perfect, but I found myself wondering more about Doxie, Valia, Effie and others too.

For those who've been away from the series as I was, there's enough to update you on their lives. It's a homecoming in many ways.
