This book was beautifully written and very intricate in its world building and design! With that said, it was definitely hard to get through at points. It is veeery slow paced and I just have empty head energy and like more character stuff versus political world building personally!

I loved a lot of it but there was also a good bit I was bored with. It’s a lot of talking and plotting and info but the writing really is great! I was so surprised when [redacted] died and tbh I’m so scorned by other novels I really thought he was gonna come back lol but it’s refreshing to see an author kill off a lead character and not backtrack on it.

Also I thought that letter from Eynni was going to come back as important?? Maybe it does later but it seemed at the time to hold weight.

I do want to continue the series but not rn cuz the other books are BEEFY and I just want chiller reads at this time haha but I’ll definitely be returning to the series!
